The point is that RAW is claiming aero advantages from this part as well.(besides the 9*F IAT2 drop) If someone can explain how you create smooth laminar airflow with 3 large flaps disrupting the airflow, I would greatly appreicate it.
even with the flow being disrupted, it would still make the air flowing under the car much much smoother. what's under there now? nothing, and the turbulence there is incredible. even with the scoops, which if they're fairly shallow, shouldn't disrupt flow too much.

i gotcha, was just trying to give my $.02 on how i think the most logical setup would be.

This price is for the smaller Insert model not for the full size model.

The supports we would use would be the same as you would find on other splitters. Making this out of CF would drastically raise the price and durability would deffinatly be an issue.

Why do you use the "flaps" angled down into the undercar airflow, as opposed to up to where you want air directed to? ( Ihave yet to see another "splitter" with this design trait, as it would actually create turbulent airflow.)
The will atach to the front bumper cross member.
They will be screwed/bolted.
It is a double threaded rod that you turn to lengthen or shorten.
I was just looking at an ACR Viper on Saturday and there were similar small flaps to direct air to specific areas for cooling.

You might need to drill holes for the front supports but nothing is final yet. If you would like to start a list that would be great.

do disrespect man, but for $300 there are performance mods you could do. at the top speeds an LS/LT could hit, you wouldn't feel a difference from this.

but if you're doing it for looks reasons, thats cool too.

I'll admit I did not read through this whole thread, but will this fit on a 2.2?

For the LS/LT guys. I'd say go for lowering your car or something else. We don't need the same cooling and top speed isn't really an issue. Save your money for another suspension mod or grab some underdrive pullies or something.

^well said, i wanted to, but i think they'd resent it coming from an SS/SC.

your top speed really sin't high enough to warrant an upgrade like this. better off getting springs like you said. or even better tires. tires can make all the difference.

Even at 110 the downforce provided should add a fair amount of stability and even us 2.2 guys could use some brake cooling. I like to auto-x and I think it would be a beneficial mod for me. So maybe Rebel can answer my question of how it would fit a 2.2. He's really the only one who would know for sure.

^ true, and especially in autocross, the difference would be so minimal. i'm just trying to save you money, although im sure rebel would rather sell it to you haha.

the airflow characteristics would be far different as well, unless you upgrade to the SS bodykit.

It was designed on a SS/SC but you could make it fit on an ls/lt. I dont think it would be to difficult.

Ok so I got some estimates today and I figured out some prices. For the Full Splitter 289.99 if 10 people buy. Powder coat will cost $60 and then shipping will be done by UPS due to the large size. If you would like a shipping qoute PM me.

What gauge material is the splitter going to be made from?

How do the upright portion attach to the base?(welded, rivets, bolts?)

The splitted will be 1/8 Aluminum and the supports will be bolted to the splitter giving you options as to where you would like to mount it on the car.
