LOL. My Camera is a POS. I did take the pictures in 640. When we get a production bar installed I will take a high res picture.

ColeJJones,
We read your comments about the ARK/DC bar and we did agree we needed to offer something original. We do NOT copy other companies products. It has been done to us many, many times and we do not appreciate it.

Anyways, we're glad you like it.

For anyone interested in ordering one of the 1st 10 to be offered, I will try and PM everyone but it would be better to email us or call us.

Thanks.

Na i am talking about a strut bar. I had a vibrant peformance strut bar on my cavalier and it was amazing. You could tighten it one you got it bolted in place instead of just laying it on the strut towers and bolting it down.

We actually discussed this in the shop yesterday. We looked at the other bars being offered and we agreed with several others, the slotted and elongated bolt holes are a poor design. We thought the other bars were done that way because of an installation issue. That being the case, I suggested an adjustable center link to allow for easier install and then tighten the bar once bolted down. What our concern was, is someone would think they could stiffen their front end more and more by tightening the strut bar. Eventually, something would break.

As it is, there is no installation issue at all. We did not have to slot or elongate the holes and no adjustable center was required for install. We see no reason to include an adjustable center link. The strut tower brace is just that, a brace. It is not intended to change the angle of the strut towers, just stiffen them and prevent deflection.

If a customer would like a strut tower brace with an adjustable center link, we can certainly build one, but it would be at cost of materials plus shop labor. We have local owners who are willing to let us use their cars for such a customer project if requested.

Contact us direct if you would like to go this route.
Thanks.

Not sure what you are referring to? The bars are fore and aft rather than top and bottom. I guess it's hard to tell from the picture but the two bars and the mounting flanges all lay flat.

Yeah Dan is awesome and after his Header/DP combo it boosted me up 15WHP and the strut bar definitely helped on my cornering. The first wide turn from the shop i got on it and the car grabbed and drug me around the corner like it should. Alot more aggresive and drives like a new car. The thought and design that Dan puts into these pieces is awesome. We are really thrilled to help someone finally come out with great American performance parts for the community. I have gotten parts from him and would highly recommend going to Clear Image Automotive for parts. His staff is also great helping in any way and his technician's hand make every piece.

Here are a couple pictures with my camera. I will try to get more pictures of future upgrades as well. Will get pictures with the cobalt installation in the near future.

I Have a Sony 7.2mp so hopefully these are good enough! Also this is the R&D part.

Looks like I missed quite a few posts. For some reason i need to constantly refresh this forum.

Anyways, now I understand what you mean. We would not rotate the flat bar because it ties the two rods together. But, we may be able to add an additional plate with some customer design. Keep in mind guys, if everyone wants something totally different: "Supercharged", etc. it will be a custom part and will require a custom price. If we had everyone wanting "Supercharged", we can certainly keep the cost down. So? What's the cxoncensus? Would everyone like a "Supercharged" emblem of some sort?

By the way, if everyone who has shown interest, and I have sent a PM to, actually orders Monday, all 10 of the Cobalt bars are noe sold. We'll see Monday.

Ion bars will be the same price. First 10 for $95.00 plus shipping.

Also, regarding the Ion bar. We agree 100%. We already discussed the potential issue for flex due to the required shape for the Ion. Keep in mind that is just the R&D part. The mounting plates are cut from 1/8" thick material. The production parts will be made of 3/16th. But, we do like your suggestion and will incorporate it in the production bars.

Thanks again.

Thanks for your support but please give credit where credit is due. Todd, is my lead fabricator. When I assign a project to him he has my full confidence and freedom of design. We do discuss specifics, run different ideas by each other, but ultimately he has the freedom to produce the final result in whichever way he chooses. We don't always agree but when we don't it usually leads to something even better.

So, I know I very rarely verballize it, but GREAT JOB TODD!

Yes, one of the Cobalt guys suggested the same thing with making the mounting flange round to completely cover the top on the Ion.

Any and all suggestions are welcome. We do our best to listen to all input and adjust accordingly.

We are having fun with Cobalt and Ion. They were a welcome change for us.

Have a great weekend guys. I will not be able to read or respond until Monday.
No internet at home. Otherwise I would probably never sleep.
