well i dont think you noticed that the bar almost touches the side of the sturt tower so im not sure what kind of instability you are reffuring to... i have the bar mount on my car for testing and that is the only chassis mod i have and i HAVE notice a dramatic increase in handling with only the bar.

We thought the other bars were done that way because of an installation issue. That being the case, I suggested an adjustable center link to allow for easier install and then tighten the bar once bolted down. What our concern was, is someone would think they could stiffen their front end more and more by tightening the strut bar. Eventually, something would break.

As it is, there is no installation issue at all. We did not have to slot or elongate the holes and no adjustable center was required for install. We see no reason to include an adjustable center link. The strut tower brace is just that, a brace. It is not intended to change the angle of the strut towers, just stiffen them and prevent deflection.

If a customer would like a strut tower brace with an adjustable center link, we can certainly build one, but it would be at cost of materials plus shop labor. We have local owners who are willing to let us use their cars for such a customer project if requested.

Contact us direct if you would like to go this route.
Thanks.

Not sure what you are referring to? The bars are fore and aft rather than top and bottom. I guess it's hard to tell from the picture but the two bars and the mounting flanges all lay flat.
How much would shipping be for the cobalt bar to B0V1A0, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Thanks.

I am heading down to have the Cobalt strut bars quoted in aluminum. If it works out, we may be able to offer a once piece, CNC machined billet strut bar in 6061 T6 aluminum. Price would be more but we'll see what it comes in at.

Stay tuned for up-dates.

Great news everyone! We will be able to do these in 6061 T6 aluminum. They will be cnc machined from 1/2" thick billet aluminum. The bars will be a perfect fit just like our steel R&D bar, will weigh less, will have no welds, no slots and actually be more rigid than the steel bar. Total retail for these will be $195.00. They will be available mirror polished and clear coated, or powder coated for an extra fee. (Still waiting for quotes). Or I can paint them here for no additional charge.

For those who have already ordered today, thanks very much. The difference in cost for the 1st ten is $20.00 for the billet aluminum. Total of $115.00 plus shipping. If you are one of the first, and are not comfortable with the additional $20.00, just let us know and we will build you the steel version.

Since we have had such great interest in these, and the forum feedback is what prompted me to pursue the aluminum, we will extend our offer as such:

1st ten bars for $115.00 plus shipping.
2nd ten bars for $135.00 plus shipping.
3rd batch of 10 bars for $155.00 plus shipping.

After that, if there is still interest, we can look at maybe doing another run as a GP for $30.00 off retail.

I am editing the 1st page with the new info.

No problem Rico,
theheader/down-pipe will benefit you more anyways. You'll gain power, you'll improve MPG and the engine will increase in efficiency.

The tower brace can always be added down the road.
Thanks again.

Yeah i haven't noticed my gas mileage get any worse since the heade/dp install besides me getting on it more in the corners. The strut bar has increased the cars ability in handling so much it's a must have. Keep up the good work Dan and looking forward to the cat-back system!

Nothing yet from either admin. I have sent several PM's and an email with no response. If I had a phone number for them I would call. I guess they don't need the money. After Friday I wont waste my time with them.

Well, I'm having a problem with our material supplier. If I can't get this worked out by MOnday we may be offering the steel version only. If all had gone as planned I had hoped to have already started shipping by now...

I'll keep everyone up-dated.
Thanks again.

I placed an order for one of the Cobalt bars and just wanted to know if you had the supplier problem worked out or if it will offered in steel only. Either way I like the design.
