doesnt have to be pre drilled but little dents or even just a sticker over it so we know where to drill.

I always cut and drilled carbon just like I did fibreglass. Use tape to keep the edges intact.

You guys are really making this more difficult on yourself then necessary. If you are afraid to drill into your trunk I completely understand. Take it to a body shop and hold them responsible if any mistakes occur. If you can drill into wood you can drill into fiberglass. I think Metallic mentioned this earlier, just take the points of the tail light and dip them in paint or something and then just line drill into the marks.

I was also gonna suggest a bodyshop do it if your worried about drilling in the wrong spot or wrecking it

no it won't it will sit above the rear quarterpanels so they do not touch.

Also when drilling make sure you let the BIT DO THE WORK, not yourself pushing the drill through the fiberglass. Guaranteed to mess things up that way. SLOW SPEEDS as well. Theres no rush here.

Yea guys drilling this wont be hard. My CF trunk i have did have very slight dimples where i would need to drill so that helped but as 07 said, let the drill do the work. no need to go fast. Just take your time.

it'll be painted in next two weeks and mounted on my SS in January. It's in storage in a garage in Michigan. Won't be driving her until April so there's no rush

Yes, they are selling a $700 trunk that will damage your car. Was that a serious question?
