You are so low on the RPM's that the motor is not as "balanced" or smooth at that RPM... Dont floor it going that low of RPM in 5th It wont hurt anything, but there really is no point to do that either...

if anything they're protecting the transmission/axles. at least that's how i look at it.

it's probably pretty rough on the engine slugging in 5th gear like that. I would recommend not doing that at all. Just my honest opinion

Axles.

The flex has to go SOMEWHERE.

But wheel hopping destroys trannies faster.

Overall the difference would probably be the tranny lasting to 175k miles instead of 176k

If you can wear out gears from normal wear and tear with proper driving...you are something special.

i got these installed saturday (well, except for the tranny mount... to hard to get to without a lift. i'll pay someone to do it)

I must say, with the ease of doing these mods, EVERY cobalt should at LEAST have the TTR motor mount. it took 10 minutes to do, and made a HUGE difference. Also, with the poly mounts.. burning the stock ones out made it easy as pie. Get a propane torch and a backyard and you're good to go!

that's really weird, TTR is really good about this kind of stuff. i had the tracking number before it was even in FEDEX's system.

Sorry we did not get a chance to PM or Email you, we had a bunch of parts come back from Powder coating that were not up to our standard, and we re jected them for the factor of customer satisfaction. They should be back today, and get assembled today... Sorry for the delay, I think about 5 mounts were affected by this.

The engine I think is getting more "refined" and does not have the internal vibs...

Always, we dont let parts go out the door unless they are top notch.

actually, you don't need a vice at all. just put a board over the thing and jump on it then smack it with said board until it goes in... took me about 15 minutes and i weigh 125lbs

as said up ahead, set the mounts on fire. it burns the rubber out.

yea, it makes the mount look black as hell, but it's not like anyone will see it
