I have the GT exhaust. Great exhaust. Little deeper in tone, alittle louder than stock, sporty aggressive sound. Nowhere near as loud as my neighbors straight pipe civic.
Did not like the clamp that came for the slip on pipe section and will be replacing with a 3" OD to 3" ID lap band clamp.
Also definitely use exhaust sealant on the slip on pipe section. Ive tightened it twice but the pipe sections eventually slide apart causing a leak. Also if the pipes slide apart the muffler tip will pivot towards your bumper, if it touches, it will melt the paint when hot.
When put on correctly, it is a great exhaust though.

You didn't have to do that. Im not officially complaining. I like the exhaust, but I think a $5 3oz container sealant is a must and should be included. The clamp provided would work with the sealant but I think a better investment would be the lap band clamp style I've just posted.
Just stating, I have melted paint off my bumper due to pivoting because the pipes slide apart.

My GT exhaust never had this issue. But I can definitely see it happening. Moved onto the RFL and have had no problems either.

No, I never took it that way at all, I took it as "Hey, I would look into maybe doing this" We appreciate your feed back very much! Trust me, we do. It helps US to make our product better.
Just needs to be 3"ID to 3"OD like in the link. It looks great and its polished stainless steel so it blends right in. note: the image on Amazon website is not accurate. There is no Nut for the bolts. The other D bar is threaded so its even easier.
Read online from someone using these clamps to tighten them to 45 ft-lbs. Seemed tight so did 30 ft-lbs first and then went up increments of 5 ft-lbs. Sure enough, it held and didnt snap / fly into my face. lol.

Sent this over to quality control as well as the owner. We are looking into this matter and will report back with what I find (Raj)
Cudajoe,
The pipes overlap right? That clamp has a groove in it. So is the groove just a little step to allow the clamp over the second pipe then it goes to 3"? And is the sealant necessary?
Looking to do this in the spring along with everything else I'm doing.

Thats exactly what it does. The narrower diameter side is 3" Outter diameter. The wider side is 3" Inner Diameter (at least advertised as this).
Idea is to provide a solid seal with a slip on pipe setup (one pipe slides inside the other). Im not sure that the Exhaust sealant is necessary with this clamp as both sides of the clamp would hold tightly to the pipe. Once this sealant is on, its pretty much a permanent bonding of the two pipes. If you use a sealant, Id slide the pipes together first and center exhaust tip to the bumper. Check the fit. Maybe drive around a bit and see if it shifts to one side or the other. You could then slide the pipes apart slightly to adjust how the tip sits. Once you find a spot that works well, mark the pipes with a marker, and apply the sealant.
I slid the two pipes all the way together but there little clearance from the EVAP box under the car. In a sharp turn or rough bump, I can sometimes here it clank. Its not a big deal though, I shouldnt be jerking the car or hit bumps hard to begin with.
Honestly turboxs is a great company, the cat back is of great quality and even after 2 yrs it still looks amazing and sounds great (even if that piece broke on mine as well I always thought it was my fault lol). They are always willing to help with discounts thru the whole year. And just by looking at the way they resolve problems so fast I would spend more money on them without a thought. Highly recommended!! You can't go wrong with them
