You can apply the student or military discount or the newsletter discount on the current sale price. However, different discount codes like military + newsletter can't be combined.

The short shifter for the Cobalt SS/SC is more expensive because of the RL mechanism that involves a lot of machining time and more hardware to install in the car. It's also on sale this month:

It really isn't as hard as it looks in the instructions. The hardest part for me was getting the little clips off the shifter cables.
