Any chance of a sale for the 2.2/2.4 Cobalt? I'd order one first thing tomorrow morning if there was. Thanks!

I have the flat black and have not had any issues with it. Still looks brand new like the day I got it!

The knob you listed states it doesn't work with the reverse lock feature...how will that work?

Ok, sorry about the cell phone pic, but here is my FLat Black weighted knob from TWM.

And I have no problem using the reverse lockout

It is most likely a mistaken link. The standard knob will work with reverse lock as well as the weighted knobs

Not yet, the sale is currently only for the SS/SC but if we get enough demand we would likely do a sale for the 2.2/2.4 Cobalt

Our sales generally run for at least a month. You can order a different reverse lock compatible shift knob at a later date, but it is far less expensive to choose the knob you want when you order the short shifter.

I've never seen the flat black rub off. It's a very tough coating applied to stainless steel, far more durable than anodizing on aluminum.

The 10% student discount does apply to the already discounted price so if you're a student you save even more

We linked to the regular aluminum M1 Abrams page, it should be linked to the aluminum M1 Abrams RL page. I'll go ahead and correct that...

That's correct, the SS/SC shifter must be used with one of our reverse lock compatible shift knobs.

Have a great weekend everyone, and thanks for your orders

I am new to the shifter idea so I was wondering if you could get the weighted shift knob without the engraved shift pattern?

What is the aluminum base bushing? Approximately how much do you think the stock SS/TC shift knob weighs? I see that TWM weighted shift knobs are 400 grams.

The stock knob is less than half the weight of the stock knob. Also the aluminum bushings are a must

Yes, when you place your order on the site there is a Comment Section during the checkout process, you just need to add the comment that you would like the shift knob without the engraved shift pattern.

The base bushings are installed at the base of the plastic shifter assembly that connects to the floor pan of the car. The stock bushings are in rubber so there is a lot of unwanted play in the shifter assembly that is transmitted directly to the shifter. Replacing these bushings with our aluminum base bushings will remove this play and give a much more solid and direct feel to the shifter.

The stock SS/SC shift knob is 136 grams, we don't have the stock SS/TC shift knob here at the shop but it is more than likely about the same. The weighted shift knob is a great improvement over the stock unit!

Thanks,

Frank
