Totally worth it... Ordered mine a couple of weeks ago and installed last week... the difference is amazing... The shifter is so much better now. I went with the aluminum bushings and the weighted shift knob (satin/ no markings). The install instructions were easy to follow, and the install was very smooth (for once)... If you guys need a pic, let me know...

I wouldn't sit on the fence on this one. I actually put it off thinking that there wouldn't be any significant benefit, but I was wrong (so very wrong).

It's better in every way. Our short shifter is more agressive both in throw and height reduction. The main pivot ball on our short shifter is TIG welded to the shifter shaft as compared to the competition where it's held in place with a weak set screw and tends to come lose. Our reverse lockout mechanism features delrin bushings and rubber o-rings for a completely smooth operation while on the competition it's metal sliding directly on metal, not smooth and noisy.

You can check the forums for reviews, we have had quite a few customers upgrading to the TWM short shifter from other short shifters and they were all very satisfied with their decision.

Thanks,

Frank

hey i bought the shifter from you guys last year and was wondering about something i have the gunmetal shift ball and it looks great but the only thing i dislike is the reverse lock out color is there anyway to make that in gun metal also

but see the hurst also puts the shifter father towards the dash than compared to the twm i love my twm i have drove others and they dont compare to me the twm is a better design all around

Thanks for the feedback guys!

The RL part of the shifter is made of aluminum. The Gunmetal finish we use can only be applied on stainless steel, so unfortunately we can't offer the same finish for the RL lever.

Thanks,

Frank

with the short throw, does it make the shifter much more stiff and tougher to get into gears? or is still real easy to get through the gears nice and smoothly?
