05 LS on 18's dropped?

I searched around on the forums for information on the eibach springs and got pretty good info. I wanted to get some feed back that was a little more specific to my rim/tire application on my car. I wanted to now if my wheel gap would vary because of my larger 18 inch wheels and my tire profile, as well as if I'll experience a ride difference. The tires are 225/40R18. I don't want to relive my past lowering nightmares. I've included pics that hopefully help.

allow me to make a suggestion. wheel gap is most an issue when it's not even all the way around. try to figure out how far up or down would look the best on your car and then go from there. here's what i mean. the red lines mark the centre of the circle that would be formed by the wheel wells. the green lines mark the centres of the wheels themselves.

here, there is too much gap up the top in relation to the sides.

here, there isn't enough and you look like a ricer that cut his ****.

and here, you're looking sexy

forgive my art work... i'm tired

I am on Pro-kit springs with 205/55R16 (the stock 16" tire). I have nice even gap now. With a 225/40R18, I will retain very near the same overall wheel diameter, so my gap will not change.

lol ya, I go to school at Florida Southern which I believe is next to that dealership.
And to give an update I went ahead and ordered the pro kit, but eibach is on back order so it will be a few weeks before I can post pics.

That's a good question, I'll have to check. Also to see how they look when lowered will still take a little while because the springs are still on back order.

The rims are Enkie S5's and as far as the springs being on back order, I guess it had to do with the place I ordered them from. Regardless they finally got shipped out and I should have them soon. I will have pics and if I feel up to the task I might do a how to.

Thumbs up

Like the rims

After the drop, its time for bigger brakes
the rims make the rotors look tiny.
