2.2 Braking

How can I improve my braking in a 2.2 Cobalt? I know there is a disc conversion kit for the back, however that is out of my price range. Does anyone have a favorite brake pad for street use?

Also, how do you feel about the non SS Cobalts' lack of rear disc brakes. IMO it was a poor move on GM's part.

Cost! it's part of the reason u paid the amount u did. I agree with you in that all cars should have 4 wheel disc brakes.

Yea i wanted all wheel disc brakes and the dealer told me that if i got ABS i would get that but then when i got the car he was like only the SS has that and i was like well i didnt want ABS i just got it cuz you told me i would get all wheel disc brakes so they took the cost for ABS off but the car still has it. I'll have to look into a conversion kit
