4x100 drum to 5 lug disc swap NON abs questions

I am completely aware that there are about 800 threads on this and I have searched through most of them lol. My question is, I see that doing this swap requires a proportioning valve replacement but I am unsure which one will work on my 07 cobalt LS and also wondering if anyone has done this swap without abs and without the proportioning valve just to see how it brakes. I am doing this swap very very soon and I will not be changing the prop. valve right away so I just wanted some experience feedback on which prop valve to swap mine with and how bad does it brake without it. Thanks guys.

The proportioning valve would have a slightly better split on the drum cars (say 65/35 FR instead of maybe 60/40 for disc, all made up numbers), so using the original one will only result in slightly less braking than what you should have with an all-factory-disc setup. You will be fine.

Didn't toutch teh proportioning valve and have Brembo's in the front and drums in the back, soon to be LNF rear brakes. Swapped to 5 lug as well, it doesn't matter if you buy the hubs with ABS sensors or not you just don't have to connect them, on the fronts I even pulled off the sensor.

Im planning in doing 5 lug swap first and get new rotors and drums. Then buy btembos later. Only reason I wanna go 5lug now is because I need new tires and I will get paid for doing a job on a friends car with his oem polished 18 in ss/sc wheels with brand new tires. Anyway, would I be able to find hubs without abs cheaper maybe?

Don't count on finding them without ABS, most aftermarket companies will just produce all of them with the sensor, it's cheaper for them to only have to build them one way than the slight savings by producing a small percentage of them without a sensor setup.
