alignment ?

ok ive got a 2.0 my wifes got the 2.2.
she needs two new front tires and an alignment. is there a difference in the alignment of the two cars. can i get the alignment people to align the car to the specs of mine? just an odd thought i had because her cars tires are bald on the outside, i dont see that very often so i figure more negative camber cant hurt and i know my car has a bit more

The only noticeable difference between the SS/SC and 2.2 alignments is that the SC gets 5/8 degree(.65 actually) more positive caster. The difference in camber is only .05 degrees. Go right ahead and get the 2.2 aligned the same as the 2.0

sure but the reason your wifes car has done that is most likely not enough air in the tires. gotta check it monthly and set it right.

if it was low pressure wouldnt it be bald on the inside and the outside? its just bald on the outside of both front tires, it was just a bit odd to see. and i think i will have it aligned for the ss, it cant hurt haha. thanks for the input

Maven its his WIFE. most of the wear affect with low tire pressure is the outer rib rolling over in parking lots and sharp turns etc, so too lo tire pressure. oh and where are my rotors?

Most of the time if the tire is low on air it will wear the inside and outside edges of the tires.

If it were not enough air in the tires it would wear the inside and outside not just one. If their over inflated they wear the middle and leaves the tire cuped

just to be stubborn of course it does, but more outside than inside due to FWD, scrub radius and the Macpherson strut suspension etc.
