Anyone replace the Anit-Roll bar yet?

I looked around, but didn't see this posted.

If anyone knows where there's a "How To" on here listed, please post a link

I'm thinking about going with a larger sway bar / anti-roll bar over the winter and want to see just how hard this is going to be.

THanks

rear is a simple install... front sucks... so far the only way I"ve seen to do it is by lowering the engine cradle... I was trying to remove one the other day and couldn't get it out, plus I didn't feel like dropping the engine cradle to do it... but its onlt a few bolts (10 I think to lower it) just make sure the engine and trans is well supported

Thanks... that's what I kinda figured.

Not planning on doing teh rear at this point. I can't do that and remain in Stock class for Autocrossing, but the front is legal.

Maybe I'll have to do that next year when I have it in to get the clutch replaced, since the cradle will already be down.

Thanks

does someone make a rear bar for the SC's? I have heard that GM did not have it in the budget to add....
here is the quote from the MOTOR TREND road test of the Cobalt SC vs. SRT4:

"We were convinced the Cobalt's limited-slip diff was AWOL, because the inside wheel kept lighting up in hard cornering. But the fault lies with a too-rigid front anti-roll bar that unloads that tire. The Quaife can only multiply the torque of a slipping wheel and send it to the opposite side, so when a wheel's torque drops to zero (nothing to multiply), the result is tire smoke. Chevrolet says there was no budget for a rear bar that might've better balanced the chassis."

I am already out of stock class so the addition of a rear bar will hopefully make things better! wadda you guys think?

I have a torque foward rear brace that I have tested out both on the road and on the Autocross course. At first, I didn't notice much difference. Once I took it back off.... that's when I could feel the difference. Wow... did that help alot.

If I go out of stock class next year, I won't put it on, but if I go into STX, I most definately will. As will with the front tower bar. Sure wish I had the LSD pacakge.....

Just curious, what front bar do you have? I am unaware of ANY replacements at this time. All just rear bars. Eibach has advertised one for over a year now, with a part number and everything, but still haven't sold any.

I have seen the Ebeich front sway bar kit on Tire rack, but not seen how many people have bought the thing.

I would love to find someone locally that has this stuff added so I can get a comparison, but most of the "locals" here all have power upgrades and strut tower bar kits.

If I find out anything on my end, I'll be sure to post.

Many people have replaced the stock rear sway in their driveway with some simple hand tools and jack stands.

email me, I have install instructions to the Progress rear bar I can email to you.
