Best option for 2.2 handling
Tires do make the greatest difference because they are whats contacting the road. However if the suspension doesn't do its job you will end up in the grass or worse the wall. Control of the tires is just as important as the tires themselves.
Motegi Tracklight 1.0's as a matter of fact, and I'm still a poor bastard. After all this time I still haven't bought them
at myself
LOL dude 90% of people on here aren't going to do enough to their LS cobalt to even feel the difference between 300 dollar eibachs springs and the ss/sc springs. I have them on my car now, my car handles perfect at even the top speed of the car.
I'm telling you right now, you put a 300 dollar set of Eibachs in your car you better have a 20000 watt sound system because every rut or bump in the road is giong to make your car feel likes its falling apart.
I'm sorry but if I can corner like I can with mine at 107 ( until trifecta time
) for 100 bucks compared to Eibachs 300. I'm all for it.
Personally I think a 2.5 " drop just looks stupid anyways. Sure if your going to keep it in a show room drop that bad boy to the ground. Those huge drop kits totally take out the practicality of it still being a DD car.
""::driving down the local interstate::""" Hmm wow Mcdonals that sure sounds good right now... Ahh dammit its more than a 2" incline I can't pull in or I'll scrape. Oh well .. Wendys' dammit its flat but theres a 2 inch BUMP in the drive way. CAN'T go there I guess lol ::""" Yes that was a exageration but you get the point.
I dont feel the sacrifice in other areas are worth the claimed amazing suspension. Personally I like a BIT of body roll anyways, when used properly you can use it to fliing the car in the next direction.

Pro-kits. Not Sportlines.
AHHH YES, I see it now! LOL
<--- Comments removed, that is a pretty nice kit & pretty affordable as well. Would you say they are better than the stock ss/scs? I'd imagine being a bit lower they would definitely help but what about regarding spring rate?

Prokits compared to FE5's have the same height in the front, 0.5 inch lower in the back (more level car), and have a progressive rate coil instead of linear. I've had them for 3 years now and remember when I first put them on how I felt it should have come from the factory that way.

Rear sway bar and front sway bar endlinks make the biggest difference IMO cornering wise...both are highly recommended
followed by a set of springs and Konis or BC coilovers (nicest setup I've seen on these forums so far) and all you should be lacking at that point really is braking.

Sportlines are show springs. There might be some argument over whether or not they handle "better" due to the lower center of gravity. But I would say they are a bit too low to be practical on a daily driver.
While the SS/NA has the FE3 setup, many of the parts are the same as the FE5. And in this case, the brakes are in fact the same.

You think the SSC or the pro kit springs would be better? Basically I'm a bit sick of the 3" wheel gap I have right now.
