Big Brake kit options

Seems like theres not alot of affordable choices here for this car.

I mean on my last car I got a 4 piston wilwood kit with 12.3 inch 2 piece rotors for 1000

only thing under 1000 for this car is 12 inch SSBC and 13 inch Baer. And really SSBC is a waste, the stock brakes are 11.6 I want at least a high 12s or 13inch rotor thats perferably a two piece rotor.

Seems like Baer is the only thing under 1000 for a 13 inch?

yeah the big brake kits are limited but all you really need is lines and pads. rotors that are vented and of better material would help too.

Rod, check it. 12.2" rotor 4 piston Wilwoods for under $800>>>>>>http://www.tceperformanceproducts.co...s.pl?record=27

Only drawbak to these is the 81" rotor thickness, I think you can upgrade to the nice 1.1's for like $150-200. I find it hard to believe so few people are aware of this guys(Todd) stuff

Yeah. And they are still using the floating pad guided style caliper, and solid rotors. The TCE stuff has 4 psiton fixed calipers, and 2 piece (semi floating?) rotors.

Well, then STFU, and buy a 13" kit.

Actually simply switching to the 12.2" rotor and the Wilwood caliper TCE uses in the kit youll get an 18% increase in brake torque with the same pedal effort., and the 13" rotor gets you almost 24% more torque.

It's a slow market for sure.

But then again... the brake guy is always the last in line!

Actually I have a couple of projects in the works including both a "no p-brake rear" kit for an HHR and a Wilwood combo p-brake caliper on 11.75 rotor rear for the Cobalt. Stay tuned as they come together I hope the buyers will post some pics.
