big handling upgrade or coilovers?

Hello, I have a 2006 cobalt lt with 48k miles, stock suspension and after market 18s.. I want to lower that car and increase handling, I'm just looking for advice as to which route I souls choose

I can get the eibach pro plus kit on ebay for 480 shipped, consisting of the pro lowering springs and front and rear anti-roll sway bars. as well as the zzp strut bar for 90 shipped, so 570 total

Or

Ksport adjustable coil overs for 800 shipped on ebay

Ionly have enough for one of the two upgrades, I'm kind of leaning towards the eibach kit and zzp strut bar, but I figured I would ask the forums first

Thanks

1. Don't buy the Ksports, they don't have a particilarly good reputation; save your money.

2. I like the Eibach Prokit springs; I have a set and they work very well plus they don't kill the ride, and I have a set I'll sell you for $185 (plus shipping).

3. Get Powell rear swaybar -- which depends on how hard you plan to drive -- but I wouldn't suggest going beyond a "Hardcore" bar for your application. You can do all of this with stock shocks and stock mounting components -- it's a no-brainer.

4. Don't get a zzp strut bar, it really isn't necessary (as I discovered when I bought one a couple years ago for my turbo SS), however, if you really want one, I'll sell you mine (unused) for a song -- like $50 plus shipping -- I can't use it. Let me know.

I just want to put it out there that this car is driven daily for a couple hours, I don't want track performance, just something that will be awesome when I want it to

I would personally go with Pedders springs and the Powell hardcore bar. I have this installed on my '07 SS/SC and I love it. I would also suggest in investing in some steering rack spacers if you are lowering the car very much. They help with correcting the steering geometry on lowered cars. If you want more info or pics/vids of my setup, just let me know.

For your LT and needs - I'd go Pedders, rack spacers and Powell 1" Streetbar.

Most definatly stay away from any kind of coil overs. For a DD coilovers will beat you to death and are not cheap.

Pedders are suposed to be the best springs on the market but are so damn $$$. Ebach pro kit is a real good alternative. Also consider upgrading to the SS/TC struts and shocks when you do the springs.
