Bounce after lowering?

So, I just installed some Ksports today. I love the look, but they are BOUNCY! Is some of that from having the wrong length sway bar endlinks? I know when I lifted my older Tacoma, I had the same problem because the sway bar links were not long enough.

How do you have them adjusted? You can stiffen the shock by twisting the knob at the top of the strut. That should make it a lot less bouncy to bone jarring stiff.

He doesn't have coilovers or adjustable shocks. He's talking about ksport lowering springs.

Those springs may just be softer springs than stock. Sportlines definitely are and bounce more.

Ahh I saw Ksport and just assumed they were the coilovers. I will assume you installed them on stock shocks, and so with a stiffer spring than the stock FE1 spring, your shocks cannot handle the higher spring rate. You may notice a bit less bounce with powergrid end links but most likely not.

u actually might be more bouncy cuz you bought the wrong swaybar endlinks?? i just did lowering springs on my car and replaced the endlinks to a better brand, but they are the sway size, just an easier one to work with, so that actually might be ur problem, cuz obviously ur gunna bounce a little more with lowering springs, but it shouldnt be toooo much more

Okay, they are Ksports on KYBs. I have the stock FE1 endlinks. I know they are WAY too long. I disconnected them, and it was better. It's still bouncy (I mean, it is a LOWered car), but not quite as bad. So, I guess rotated trans mounts and endlinks are in my near future. Where are you guys buying endlinks from?

Thanks. I'm not expecting a Caddy or race car ride. I was just trying to see if I could make it a little better. I'm not baller enough for coil overs, sorry.

hes right. cheap spring+crap rates=bounce and harsh ride. you dont need to be a baller and spend the money on coilovers. pedders on fe5 struts would have a been a great idea.

almost all lowering springs minus the eibach pro kit and pedders have nasty coilbind.

^^are you just putting that to compare? i owuldnt recommend the pro kit theres absolutely no drop on them what so ever. pedders have better rates for the fe5 struts. best lowering springs out for fe5 struts period.

k sport lowering springs are really bouncy and will rust after a year or two if you drive year round in the winter. ASK zero6ls he has them.

Well, the one reason I didn't go with Pedders was because they aren't low at all. I'm not setting up the car for road racing, which is where the Pedders/FE5 would really shine. Plus, these were really cheap (I know, you get what you pay for, I tell everybody that and look where I'm at. .

I put it up because of the coil bind talk.

And there is a bit of lowering. And I didnt buy it for the lowering I bought it for the performance. The pro kit handles better than the sportlines. It lowered my rear down close to .7 now. The front it said it wouldnt but im now at .2 inches lower. But like I said I bought it for the handling.

yeah when you first put them on its only suppose to lower .5" out back. then im sure they give you a little more after they settle. the pro kit IS THE ONLY other spring that will help improve handeling on the stock struts other the pedders.
