brake help

I have an 07 LT and im looking to upgrade the front brakes i was thinking about going with powerslots and hawk pads, but my car has a 5 lug patter. I did some searching and i cant seem to find if powerslot or and quality makes oem replacement rotors for the 5 lug pattern that isnt an ss.

They do make 5 lug non SS balts, not sure what year that happened but it did happen at some point. It makes me wonder if the front brake rotors are the same size as they are on an SS.....

Yeah, I would check the measurements, and if they are the same just get some SS/SC powerslots.

Or check the part numbers for the OEM parts at either your local dealership or at gmpartsdirect.com

5 lug LTs and 2009 G5GTs have a 280mm front rotor, its NOT the same as any SS model or any other current car. AFAIK there is currently no upgraded rotor available for the cars.

Yes they will, problem is that afaik no no one makes an upgrade aftermarket rotor for the 280mm cars yet. Its gonna be pretty much GM or basic parts store stuff.

I took a look at the sticky about the all the suspension and brake stuff and it looks like i have the same 276 mm rotors that come on later cars. At least thats the way it looks when i read the sticky.

There are no 276mm front rotors.

There are 256mm, which is 4lug only. There is 280mm which is the 2009 G5GT, and all 5 lug cars with drums in the back, 296mm is whats on non Brembo 4whl disc cars except the 09 GT. Then there is the Brembo 315.5s

Sure would. Thats what i did on my car. I went from four lug 256mm, to 5 lug 296mm, to 311mm Koni Challenge brakes.

Yes a 296mm (SS) Caliper and bracket will bolt right onto your car and allow you to run SS 296mm rotors, really the best way to go for the money.

GM parts source online

I found that for all parts GM that www.GMPartsDirect.com has prices at about 1/2 that of dealership parts. But you have to KNOW the correct PN. No returns I believe. But they do take CC's
