Brake install problem - need quick response!!!!
We're working on an SS/SC trying to change pads and rotors. In removing the driver's side rear, we can almost get it BUT the piston in the caliper WILL NOT compress, we've tried a little bit of everything, c-clamps, etc. We were trying to avoid taking any lines off, but we even tried that in hopes that it would help us get the piston compressed. E-brake is fully disengaged, that was the first thing we checked. The car must be back on the road TONIGHT, so we need some help if anyone knows what to do.
You don't have to remove any lines, and that wouldn't help anyway. Try taking the cover off your brake fluid resevoir under your hood. That might be holding some pressure against you. Try again.
