I have seen some stuff on the redline boards for upgraded rotors and pads for the redline (and the ss/sc I would assume). Nothing for the normal cobalts.

Best bet would be to get the stock part numbers and try to cross ref them with some performance brands. I can't imagine the cobalt has all new brakes and pads.

RSM has some disc upgrades for the front and back.

http://www.rsmracing.com/cobalt.htm

They look like the same as whats listed for the CAVY so who knows if it will work.

Are you referring to the brakes on the standard Cobalts or the SS?
I ask because they are differant, if I remember correctly.
The SS has 4 wheel disk as apposed to rear drum front disk.
Does this make a significant differance? Probably not under normal driving conditions.
What really matters is that the SS front disks are alot larger and heavier than the standard disks.
Which means that they can absorb more heat without distortion and also provide greater stopping power due to the larger surface area of the disk.
If anyone can add to this please do.

PS- I also hate ABS, if you really know how to drive, you have more control without it.
