Brakes question

So When I hit the brakes I travel a real hard left. I take it to the shop and they tell me its the rotors that are completely shot on the front. They also tell me I need NEW rotors and they can not be turned. Hmmm....???
Secondly, they say my back brakes are in pretty bad shape too but don't need new rotors just to replace the brake pads.
The Question is. I might as well go ahead with an aftermarket brake setup since its time to replace things. Is there any recommendations on some sick brakes that will not cost an arm and a leg? You guys have a lot of knowledge so I figured I would field everyone's input.

Are you in a TC? If so I recommend stock rotors and pads up front. For the rear, I also like the stock rotors, but hawk hps for pads. You can get the rotors and front pads for cheap at gmpartsdirect. Just google around for the hawk pads. Remember to grease the pins in back.

Me? I just run the stock rear pads and rotors. The rear pads are aggressive, and it turns out that they smooth out the rotors quite well each time I go to the track.
They do tend to groove the rotors a bit for street use, but on track, perfect.

BTW, Like you, I've found that getting HARD on the brakes helps clean up the rears.

Oh, and one of the other important things about the rear brake. You need to use the e-brake all the time when you park. The usage helps keep it from seizing up. If you want to put some heat fast into the rears, make a couple reasonably hard stops in reverse.
Yeah, most people seem to be having a problem with the stockers. They're fine for me though. I may get another set of them when these eventually wear out. HPS is a little under aggressive for the track, even in the rear, but I'm sure HP+ will sound like a banshee.

BTW..I do use the E brake parked...even use it when stopped at lights!

SO really? stock is the best fit? Thats not what I expected to hear but thats cool. No one is recommending cross drilled and slotted or anything?
