Brakes SUCK!

So for awhile now my brake pedal has been really squishy.. When brake the pedal will be squishy then get a little firm. But it would go down pretty far before it got a little firm..

If I'm going a decent speed and try to get on the brakes hard.. The car will squat in a angled position like all the brakes aren't being pressed evenely... I changed my brakes with OEM pads and rotors and bled them.. They suck..

Could this be something further than just bleeding? Its a 2010 SS. Brembos feel worse than a cavalier

Did you bleed them in the correct order? Also do any of you lines look like they've been swelling?

No I bought it brand new.. And not really that I have noticed man... It's wierd cause sometimes I'll push be pedal down and it will feel real firm. If not I have to push it once then the 2nd or 3 rd time I push it it will feel firmer..

And let's say I'm in 2nd and I give throttle to about 50mph and let it cruis down in speed, if I hit the brakes then, most of the time it will feel firm I don't understand it lol..

For ***** and giggles go pull your abs fuse and see if it changes your braking.

Did you bleed the brembos inner then outer? Or just the outer?

If the abs fuse pull didn't do anything you don't have a problem like Sox's

Unless you have a snap on unit or a techII in your back pocket, yes you need a shop with that equiepment to test the ABS unit and get it to cycle while you bleed them >>>>*if you suspect the abs unit is air bound or not working*<<<<<.

oh, and by the way both the techII and Snap-On do them in the proper order.

So bleeding them didn't do a dam thing. I pulled out of the shop, the first brake was pretty stiff. Felt decent.. After that it sucked still... I don't understand what it could be!? If there's no air in the line what else is there to check?.. What the hell!

If my "traction service ESC" light is on and my traction control don't work, could that have something to do with it?

So I came to the conclusion that I'm going to go to the dealer and hook up the techII thing. I really don't understand how it works at all.. But I'll have them deal with it. Hopefully they fix it's

I didnt even this about this but it makes sense. You need a Tech 2 to bleed the abs otherwise there could still be air in the lines.

Thats assuming there is air in the abs. But the techII will also be able to tell if there is a sensor going back causing the issue
