Broken Rear Eibach Sportline

Went to get some new tires put on today and upon jacking the car up found the driver rear spring in at least two pieces. I'm out and about and haven't had time to do any searching yet...anybody ever see these sold as just a pair instead of a set of 4??

Anybody think I should just switch to a different brand while I'm at it. Thoughts and concerns welcome...

I've hardly been on the forums for a while so this is the first I'm hearing about these. What's the story with them on the stock struts?? I'm not quite ready to drop a huge chunk of change into this car...trying to buy another vehicle (for the wife to drive).

CM springs are 180 shipped and are very similar to ssc. Both ride good.

I'm racking my mind trying to decide what to do. I need to pull the trigger and get something ordered so I can get this car back on the road. Here's what I feel my choices are:

1.) Just order another set of Sportlines knowing that everything will fit like it did before.
2.) CM for around $180 shipped
3.) YYZs for $360 shipped

It's mostly just a daily driver. Drag strip once in a while (and I mean a while). I like the lower look but the handling and ride quality are more important.

Somebody help me make up my mind please!!

Yyz is you want mainly handling. I can't see paying that much for a dd and not putting the springs to use. CM and ssc ride close to stock and lower it pretty decent.

I'm in shock. Driver side rear was broke in 5 places...passenger side in 2. Fronts seem to be OK but I've only managed to get the passenger side off (damn lower nut that holds the knuckle assembly to the strut won't break lose and I've destroyed two sockets and an adapter, plus a ratchet in the process. Going to bring better tools from my job home tomorrow.)

So it sounds like I probably need to look at the CM's

I bought some used sportlines but i only needed the rears to get rid of the rake left by my megan racing springs lol. When i put them in the bottom bolts wouldn't budge on the shocks so I took the top bolts out and they came out easily and allowed the whole assembly to drop.

I've already got all 4 corners removed but I still need to separate the struts and springs on the front. New CM springs are on their way and should be here on Tuesday.
Now I'm trying to decide if I should just go ahead and put new struts and bearing plates on while I'm at it...

Well I was late getting in here and couldn't post these in time for you to make the better decision. YYZ springs, absolutely love them.

Yep, collision damage isn't covered and I believe he wants some sort of yearly rust treatment.

Well then I guess I'll take my 4x4 status and great handling.

18x8 Enkei PF01's with 235/40/18 BFGoodrich SportComp-2 summer tires.

I guess I will just have to wait and see what happens with the CMs. They were in Seattle as of this morning.
Still trying to decide whether or not to sink money into struts at this time...

I've had my sportlines for almost 3 years and they are looking as good as new. I think any spring that rusts will break in half. Was it broken because of rust?

The rears were rusted pretty bad. The driver side was in 6 pieces and the ends of some of those pieces were rusted which leads me to believe that they had been broken for some time. The fronts are showing some rust as well. The springs have no less than 54k miles on them but no more than 70k

CM springs have a good drop and ride no worse than stock. I think it takes corners decent.

had sportlines and loved the lower look. Now on yyzv3's and they are way better at everything except they don't lower it as much in the back.
