Bump Stops help quick!
Why not drive with one wheel off the car?
What kind of a question is that?
You don't cut it because the instructions don't say to cut it. If you bought an air filter, would you cut the bump stops?
You only cut them if the instructions say to. And most don't.

Example:
Eibach Prokit instuctions specifically say to NOT cut the stops.
Eibach Sportlines instruction say DO cut the stops a very small amount.
If you don't have instructions, and you don't cut the stops, you are doing no damage what so ever. If you find that you are bump stopping frequently after your installation, then go and trim them a small amount at a time.
If you simply "cut them off", you're done. You can't go back. Not one kit I have ever seen says to simply cut them off completely. You only trim them fractions of an inch.
So what's the smarter option?
