About 5 months back i hit a curb and took a chunk out of my rim and went to the dealership and found out 3 of them were bent. I recently purchased new rims and also got my rotors smoothed out because they were warped. Now when i hit 55 or so the steering wheel shakes. The wheel also shakes when i brake. I dont know if this could be an alignment issue or something greater. Any Ideas?

 

An alignment will more than likely take care of that, however other possible reasons for the problem could be loose lug nuts or unbalanced wheels.

 

im pretty sure they balanced the wheels but ill check it out. i hope its just an alignment problem.

 

i had the same problems with my ADR rims. i took my car in and had the wheels re-aligned. runs perfectly now plus saves any extra wear and tear on the tires if theyre outta whack

 

i had a similar problem after i got new tires. they balanced them improperly. having them off by just a little can cause noticable shaking at certain speeds.

 

could it maybe be a problem with the brakes?
