clearance issues anyone?

So I got an ss exhaust and for some reason it seems to hang really low from my car, like a good two inches beneath the body. I'm slamming my car and I know it's only gonna be like an inch from the ground. is this normal or do I need to go back to the muffler shop that welded it for me and see if they can tuck it up a little more? Idk what to do but I don't wanna lose my exhaust cuz my car's too low.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

No a properly installed stock exhaust(or any exhaust) shouldnt hang down low. the bottom of your cat should be the lowest point under the car

ok thanks very much. and yes it is a five speed. thanks! I'll have the shope that welded it fix it, if they try to charge me then i guess i'll find a buddy i can borrow a welder from. it sucks knowing how to weld but not having the tools!

ok went back to the muffler shop that welded it, they took a look at it and realized I was right, I had to spend a goodten minutes explaining it to them that it wasn't right but after we had talked it was all good and they fixed it for me. now I'm ready to slam my balt.

Even my stock exhaust the elbow right before the rear axle was always lower than my cat. My catback raised it some but it is still lower. I am going to probably end up cutting and rewelding so parts to raise it up after my DP comes from OTTP. Right now that and the Canister scrub a little and I am dropped 2f/2.5r.

mine is like that too..i put it all in straight and welded it back together right, but it still hangs low...or so it seems... i realised not too long ago that if i had side skirts(like the ss) it wouldnt be as visible, is that why it seems so low?

no it was low cuz the shop didn;t weld it right. It's fixed now and everythign else is good. this is why I want a damn welder. it sucks knowing how and not having the tools and having to pay someone else to do a crappy job. All said and done and 70 bucks later my car is running perfect and the exhaust works great even with my car as low as it is now.
