Clicking in the front end :(

I've had some clicking in my front end for a while now but its gradually getting worse. its usually going from forward to reverse, or if i let off in first gear sometimes or the odd time when im shifting into second. could it be the axles or CABS? i bought the car with 31000km and it had sportlines in it and now it has 53000km. just yesterday put stance coils in but they are no where near maxed out or even low until the springs settle.

im guessing but try cabs and strut tower mounts. it sounds like the bearing is gone in the mounts and god knows cabs are weak at best. i recently had this clicking/ coil binding in my front end. i replaced everything, cabs, strut tower mounts, springs, shocks and struts. noise is gone. since most have replace the struts, shocks and springs with coil overs or new springs, struts and shocks. i am guessing that no one has replaced the mounts. the mounts are just as important as the rest and are reasonably priced. replace them and the cabs if you havent already. my money says its the bearing in the mount is toast. the cabs should be automatic in this car to replace.

Well since i just put coils in the mounts should be fine. The CAB will be my first replacement. I will purchase and do them over winter while its put away. I won't be driving it that much more this year. Maybe another 3000km at most

cabs dont make clicking noises, they just hold everything in tight. strut mounts do make clicking noises and they dont come with coilover packages.

Powell CABs were money well spent. It tightened up my steering and the car feels much more responsive now

here is my best explination for you.

if clicking occurs: under heavy acceleration; hubs/ mounts
: turning heavy or light; mounts
: under light acceleration; hubs
: if car wanders around the road when steering wheel is straight; cabs
:i believe endlinks has a effect on all of the above but usually dont make clicking noises

if you ask me, for the price of this stuff at CED it is always best to replace cabs, mounts, endlinks all at once. i also heard that the hubs are fairly strong(depending on amount of hp produced). i have put over 300 000 km on 2 cars and never changed a hub. yes burner we have similar set ups so its not like im stock.
