That would be a sway bar end link. Just had it replaced on my car over the summer and have to take it back in yet again to get them replaced AGAIN. Very common for failing on cobalts

My endlinks are only 5 months old and don't even have 10k on them and they're already pooped out again. I'd be willing to bet money that's the cause of ur clunking noise

Does your car still have warranty? Cuz with it being as cold outside as it is, I wouldn't be messin around with taking wheels off and the what not unless I had a flat and had no choice lol. Either way tho, most dealers will give a free examination to diagnose the problem anyway so that's the route I'd go

Well that sux...I'd still take it to a shop and ask someone to go on a ride along to hear the sound. Cuz in this weather, nobody wants to work on their car outside of a heated shop. Dealers and shops alike almost always do a free ride along to tell you what the issue is. Then, if that's the case, buy upgrades instead of the stock crap again.

Would this also cause a car to pull hard to the right only when accelerating.
I'm also hearing this clunk when I hit a speed bump or bumps in the road.

If you are lowered, you should get some adjustable endlinks. This will help cut down on preload.
