Clunking Noise only when wet
Clunking Noise only when wet
Okay, so after burying myself through all the forums about this, I am still not sure what it can be. First things first, this was a lot worse before, but now my car makes that clunking noise only when it rains and the undercarriage gets wet. I have already replaced my ends links, and control arm bushings. After doing so, everything was quite. But now, I get clunking when wet. With the car off, and with the steering wheel being jiggled back and forth, I can hear it from the passenger side. Never makes a sound when coming to a stop or accelerating. Just side to side. I have also read that it might be the joust bushings in the strut. I just want some ideas. I am pretty sure the intermediate shaft is not at fault. But I am not sure how to test.
I'm bringing this thread back....
I am having the same issue, some sort of clunking noise, but only when it is wet and raining.
When its dry, I hear nothing.
The suspension and brakes are tight.
Any thoughts.
