Coil overs or lowering springs?
OK so i just bought a 2008 cobalt from my friend and it rides so bad. he had lowering springs on it but it wasn't low enough so he cut the lowering springs. i plan on upgrading the suspension but i cant decide to get lowering springs and struts or to just go all out and get coil overs.
and what brand of springs/struts/coil overs would you recommend?

I have lowering springs but I have ridden in several slowbalts with coilovers and they are worlds better. Really though, what do you want to get out of them? Do you want smooth ride and no cornering ability or harsh ride but can take a hairpin at 100? I love the harsh ride and handling improvements so I vote for coilovers on one of the stiffest settings. I have experienced the megan racing, B & G, and KW coilovers and they were all setup about the same. The Megans were ok, very neautral but on the soft side(for my tastes). B & G's were very firm and supportive, handled well around corners and promoted turn in when accelerating but were harsh on speedbumps. KW was probably the best ones with the same firmness of B & G but much less harsh onrough roads and speedbumps.
