Coilovers installed- rear bottoming out?

Recently installed my set of BC coilovers and everything went well, but now when I hit a larger bump, the rear of my car makes a bottoming out-clunking type of noise. It's been driving me nuts and I can't seem to figure it out. Nothing else is hitting like my exhaust so I figure it has to be something with the coilovers. Has anyone had something like this happen to them? Do I need a stiffer spring in the back?? Thanks for any input. It is all the way maxed out and the shocks are on full stiffness

I wouldn't be surprised if it's your shocks since they are maxed, maybe not going so aggressive will help

Yeah, I was thinking that too. I didn't really want to raise it because it's already higher than the back. I know there's a bunch of guys lower than me so I'm wondering if I'm missing something. Thanks

I would try going full soft and see if that fixes it. Then work your way back to see where it starts.

I've messed with It a bunch. But don't think I've had it all the way at full soft. I'll try that and see what happens

Yeah once it's lowered you run into all kinds of weird issues. Exhaust hits the axle/body mostly, but it can bottom out as well.

Had this problem with my car. Your shocks may need to be adjusted as they don't have enough room to travel

You have to adjust the length of the shock, not just the stiffness.

I know. Just didn't think making them longer would help. But I'll try and see. Pretty annoying to listen to

Theyre all the way short? Are you sure you have the right springs?

Yes. And almost positive, it was a new set from Bc racing

It's the shock bud. I have my rear springs maxed but my shocks aren't. No bottoming out. BCRacing Type BR

Thanks, same kind here. How much do you have the shock up if you had to guess? Halfway?

This is the only pic I have of them set up before I installed. If this doesn't help I can go try and take a pic of them on the car. But if you look at the bottom shock in the picture you may be able to get an idea

Messed with the shock and it's still doing it. Contacted bc and probably going to order the extreme low springs for the rear
