Question Control Arms and Steering Knuckles

Hey everyone

There had been a few threads here and there on the matter but I would like some more advice and confirmation on some things

Loud knocking, just replaced shocks and struts, sway bar and endlinks with all Fe5 stuff.

Sat fine then took some turns and knocking has gotten worse.

Seems like Control arm bushings

Now I'm gonna replace the entire arm.

Since I have an 07 LS I could get the ss/sc arms and not have to worry about fitment right?

Or is it worth it to spread my knuckles and get the ss/tc arms?

Is there any difference?

Would TC knuckles be worth the hassle? or even the comp knuckles, they seem so expensive though.

I will eventually replace the CAB's with spherical bushings. Maybe the leading bushings as well.

Thanks for your time.

did you install the springs correctly? the tab on the top hat must line up with the end of the spring, otherwise a knocking sound may result

double check and make sure everything is tight again ... if it didnt knock until u started to turn, something may have settled a bit and became loose.

Get the tc knuckles. I can't say enough about the quicker steering. Don't forget you need the tc axles and the 24 mm retainer nuts.

If you plan on replacing front and rear bushings you could get the ZZP arms then give us a review

seems like a lot of extras. Any other knuckles you can upgrade from an LS/LT model (FE1) without having to replace axles? I'm thinking about doing similar since i plan on road tracking my car for the fun of racing

Stock GM knuckles are the same across all suspensions, except the LNF. The comp knuckles that GM offers from what I can figure are for true, honest to god, full time race cars with slicks. Their just to $$ to justify buying in my opinion.

talk to john powell. He can let you know what fits what. And the conversion to lnf stuff....probably isnt worth it unless you are racing.
