CX racing coilovers vs megan coilovers
CX racing coilovers vs megan coilovers
Has anyone heard of CX racing Coilovers?
Im looking for a cheaper set of coilover to get the car off stilts. Im not looking to track the car or gain a ton of handling. I just want to lower it, I dont want to slam the car just want to lower it close to the wheels and level it. I was looking at megan racing coilovers but came across these CX racing coilovers.
has anyone ever tried them or know how bad the ride is or how low they drop?

Im looking for something to lower the ride in the summer and raise it back up during winters. Winters around here are drift style winters where the roads drift over in a few min. so i want to be able to raise the car back up for winter.
Now i have heard lowering springs are rough on the butt or at least worse than coilovers. A buddy said he's on springs and his ride is real rough and his friend is on megans and it rides 5x smoother than springs

Well cheap coilovers aren't going to last long in the winters if they use salt on the roads. Buy 2sets of springs and struts make the change that way, probably still cheaper and will last longer than coilovers. It all depends on what springs and how much travel they have
Mono-Tube, Top Mount, 32 Step Damper & Ride Height Adjustable

Springs = more comfort with decent low
Coils = really low with comfort sacrafice
Even the most expensive set of Balt coils is going to be a stiff ride. I can imagine cheaper ones will only be worse in the ride quality department. If you care about comfort SSC offers a nice drop with stock like comfort. If quality doesn't matter buy some cheap coils and go to town.

if you have them raised up on full soft it wont be that bad. honestly its easy to get used to unless you have back problems or something. Cheap coilovers honestly sound perfect for what you want. Id say go for it.
just make sure you have them preloaded correctly in the front

I was slammed on ssi springs (yes ssi not ssc, cheap shitty springs) the never got used to the ride bumps still hurt. Then I bought Powell YYZ's and have been extremely happy with the ride height, comfort and performance
I mean its a daily driver and a car i don't want to track. It is used for 3 hour trips every once and a while on the freeway. The main thing im looking for is lowering it to get it off the stilts its on. while not feeling like riding on a cement block.
