you will need a camber kit if your drop is over 1.5 inches.

Is that just your experience in general or something specific for the SS/SC?

good question. i've had a 97' pontiac sunfire dropped on eibach pro kit and i needed a camber kit. my friends 97' eclipse needed a camber kit after his sportline drop and my current car right now, rsx-s, is dropped on eibach pro kit and i need a camber kit but it's not that bad. not sure if the cobalts have the same problem so to answer your question it is from experience in general.

I dropped intrax springs in my cougar: 1.8 in the front 1.4 in the rear. No camber issues or alignment problems.

On my 2002 Z24 Cavy I didn't need a camber kit with the sportline kit I had on it. Just make sure you get it aligned after. I don't think you will need a camber kit for the Cobalt SS either because there shoule be plenty of adjustment in the stock supsension pieces.

No camber kit needed....there is a lot of adjustment built into the stock geometry.

I have the Eibach pro-kit for our Cobalts and haven't put it on yet. I noticed that Eibach makes camber kits, but not one for the Cobalt. So to be sure, I checked. Eibach said that our cars have plenty of adjustment, and no kit was necessary, which is why they don't make a camber kit for our cars. So there ya go.
