sportlines = lower car
pro kit = higher car but better spring rates over the sportlines

best bet pedders.

Pro kit

Better overall handling.

But yes if you want true handling and dont care about lowering then pedders are the springs for you!

Is the ride a lot worse with sportlines over stock TC suspension or is it really not that bad?

best option for what? handling or going low? For going low yes I agree a wicked set of coilovers is worth it, but for handling, the Peddars XA's are the only coilover I'd toss that kind of coin at over a set of konis and pedders or SS/TC shocks/struts and pedders.

ive never liked the massed produced koni yellows. their custom stuff is great though.

stance makes good coilovers....more then likely ill put them to the test over summer and see how they do. pedders xa coilovers are nice but i dont like the fact they use progressive springs(correct me if im wrong)......i mean for handeling ohlins are probablly my favorite but 4k-8k just isnt going to cut it for my budget lol.

for my drag car i run afcos all the way around. to me those are the best for drag racing.

Between sportlines and pro kit, I would personally choose the sportlines, they lower the car more.

I chose Pro kits due to less overall lowering and better springs rates.

But most choose sportlines due to the amount they lower.

pro kit has stiffer spring rates then the sport lines which provides better handeling.

I'm no expert, (but I did compete in Nat Rally Champ events during the early eighties,) but Eibach always had a great reputation for progressive rate springs.

I would think their ProKit springs would have better control and responsiveness over a short travel spring like the Sportline. The Eibach Sportline is designed to coil bind, which is exactly opposite to what I learned competing. You want compliance to adapt to road conditions. In my opinion, Sportlines are for poseurs only.

And what do you call decent? Pogo sticks are "decent" for a six year old.

imo pro kit drop isnt even considered a drop
you still have the same gap as stock minus like half a inch.
my friend lowered his ls with them and i honestly wouldn't pay 230 for that look. doesn't even looked lowered.

yea prokit doesnt do much for lowering, would barely notice anything. I put sportlines on my cobalt and it handles better, not as much body roll and looks much better then stock. Im happy with mine.

If your buying the pro kit your not buying it for lowering your buying it for handling. Same as Pedders your buying it for handling. Sportlines your buying for looks.
