Eibach Pro kit vs sportlines?
Something like 2" front and 2.1-2.25" rear.
I will have a wonderful car when I'm done with that...probably won't be until mid summer though.
so are pedders really a better choice to get over sportlines
im lowering my ls and cant decide i like sportlines drop but everyone says oh harsh drop
than some one in another thread said pedders are better handling but dont drop much
now someone is saying in this thread that they drop almost identical to sportlines.

Brhumert on Eibach Pros.

CobaltSS_16 on sportlines

Pics are from the spring comparison thread.
sorry but pedders definitely do not have a drop close to the sportlines. Sportlines are much lower. But also keep in mind that the pedders have a much higher spring rate and have better handling. So this is what I would say:
1) If you are more worried about handling = pedders
2) If you are more worried about the drop = sportlines
1) If you are more worried about handling = pedders
2) If you are more worried about the drop = sportlines
I just recently put on sportlines on my cobalt a week ago. I drove it for about 100 miles and then got allignment and it really didnt need one but just being safe. I think it is better than stock springs.
Yeah. I mean sportlines look good and eibach didnt just make them for looks. They obv improve some handling too. I like sportlines lower more. And alot of other people say they have them and say they love them
^Because that's what this thread is about....
They are asking about Pro-Kit vs Sportlines...OP wanted to know which one he should get and why...I doubt he's in the market for coilovers...and if you do coilovers, you can't go with cheap ones or you'll wind up with problems down the road. Have to be quality.

* High Performance Handling
* Lower Center of Gravity
Cobalt: Lowers vehicle 1.6" Front, 1.8" Rear
Cobalt SS: Lowers vehicle 0.0" Front, 0.5" Rear (This vehicle will receive minimal lowering due to lower factory ride heights.)
this is the 05-07 kit tho....
was i lied to?

Here is my '08 LT on Sportlines (dropped even more since these pics). I got the low accel. shimmy/shudder right afterwards though. I bought the Pro-Kit also, and debating on installing them with hopes the shimmy monster will go away.

Also, Sportlines might give you an illusion of better handling because of lower center of gravity, but in reality they don't (placebo effect)
From what I've read over the last months (being interested myself in purchasing springs soon) is that stock springs are great and offer better handling than sportlines because of the travel..don't forget that our car has beaten much more powerful cars in lap times... it must have something to do with our suspension setup.

I guarantee you will love them for a year or so, then you will hate them. That's what happened to me...and now that I'm on Pedders with FE5 SS/TC struts/shocks, I'm as happy as could be with my suspension (just need the FE5 front sway and new end links (either FE5 or PowerGrid).
