Few opinions on rotors PLEASE!!

OK so it's about that time...yep you guessed it I have to change the pads and rotors on my SS/SC for the first time and I need some feedback from those of you who have already done this. My primary concern is I don't want the rotors to build up rust the way the stock ones have (damn cheap Japanese parts ). I can deal with some rusting however I can't deal with the friggin 1/4 inch rust lip that's formed on my stock ones!! I've narrowed it down to the following brands. Can those of you who have first or second hand knowledge of how these hold up as well as how they perform I'd really appreciate it. I know that brake rotors and pads have been discussed to death (I've read the threads) however I haven't really seen how they hold up as far as the rust aspect goes. I've decided on Hawk HPS pads and just need to hammer out the details around the rotors. Here are my options. I'd like to order them in the next day or so. Thanks!!

1. GM Drilled and Slotted Rotors

2.Uneek cross drilled and or slotted

3.DBA Slotted and Drilled Rotors

(BlilBT I stole your pic since it was the best picture of these rotors. Thanks!!)

4.EBC Slotted/Drilled Rotors

5. R1 Concepts performance rotors

Also any thoughts on who has the best prices would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks fellas!!!!

anyone order this kit?

Uneek should have the best price front and rear of all of those. Also, avoid the drilled rotors. Especially if you plan on using them hard. Slotted and dimpled are ok.

I just talked to him and the deal is still on. What do you think about this package?

All of this has been discussed to death and there are at least five posts a week about this. Here is a link to a previous post of my set up.
If you want to get the set from TH it should be fine. Contact Adam and he will set you up. Watch out for Uneek, he stopped shipping parts last year and still owes me money.

Dude I appreciate the input. As I said I read all the threads but none really addressed the issue of how they hold up when it comes to rusting. I live in PA where they put salt on the roads like McDonalds salts their fries. That's the primary reason I posted this thread.

That said how have your rotors held up in the rust department. I know you live in Florida so I don't know if you have a real problem with this there...

Metal in Florida will rust when left outside in about 10 minutes. All rotors will rust on the surface where the pads engage them because if you coated them with something like zinc it would just get scrubbed off by the pads the first time you brake. The only way that you could get away from that would be a stainless steel rotor but stainless will not hold up to the heating and cooling of brakes.
The rotors I have are zinc coated so they do not rust on the hub/hat portion or on and in the veins but the surface will rust overnight.

Seeing as Uneek is out of biz (thanks for that info), I would change my vote to the R1 Concepts. However, I really don't like any of them since I don't like drilled breaks.

They crack when you whoop on them.

I'm seriously considering the package deal simply because of the brake lines...

Yea my stockers are rusted EVERYWHERE!!! I hate rust. I can deal with rust on the braking surface because a mile down the road it's gone but the hubs and cooling fins are so rusted they look like they are ready to fall apart (stupid Japanese parts)

i have the ebc rotors with hawk hps pads and they're great, but they're dimpled not drilled so you won't have the cracking problems. they do create alot of noise at first though.

The DBA rotors look like something you'd find on a very high end car like Ferrari......very cool.
