Finally own pedder coilovers
Finally own pedder coilovers
I bought some pedder coilovers Xa well all I know is that I spent over 1,000 for them from turbo tech. Now does anyone have any pics of these on their Balts?

you spent over a grand on coilovers and you don't have any pictures of a car running them handy?
Dude, I have some beachfront properly in Kansas for sale. Interested?

Well I guess I can ask, does these coil overs handle like the TC struts with Pedders on them? I use to have that in my old 2.4L I'm pretty stoked about this I feel like I have the power I want for my TC but the SS/TC springs just feel too stocked for me. I miss the stiff feeling and taking tight corners with almost 1.0 lateral Gs
IMHO. I wouldn't of bought any coilovers for these cars and expect good handling. The spring rates aren't correct. IMHO the BC are the best for the Cobaltss but even their rates are garbage's
I went front stances to pedders on fe5 struts and the spring strut combo was better then the stances. Powell springs with koni's is the handling setup to have

I wouldn't spend the money on stances. For what they cost after owning them I feel they are junk. BC ones are better and less money. For the same price of the stances you can get the inverted bodies from BC which IMHO is better
For handling the only good coil overs that are good are anze and ohlins but they are huge dollars. All the rest are a good street coilover
Sweet Bro I like your setup. I don't want to slam really just for better handling on the turns. Yeah man here in Texas well down south don't ever have to worry about snow tires
That's true but what's done is done, I've been eyeballing those coilovers for years now and finally having the funding for it (Funds from my old 2.4). I'm happy with the power my SS/TC has already. I know there's others out there that are way better but cost even more. I'm happy with what I have now
It's gonna be a fun project to do. The only thing that worries me is how do you measure the height that you want?
At Sunburst SS: HAHAHA!!! Don't know if I want to slam my balt here where I'm at lol

Welcome. Imho all these coil overs are just goods street coil overs even with a proper alignment and a corner balance. I preferred my peddlers and fe5 struts and now my Powell springs and koni's any day. I vouch for the BC stuff because we took an off the shelf basic coil over and ran it on our solsrice which set track records this year with no spring changes. They performed great but as my boss and I say there's better stuff out their but they got the job done. People seem to hear the world coil over and automatically think they are better because they cost a grand plus which isn't the case with a lot of the coil overs available for all makes and models.
I might go back to coilovers but if i do they will be a custom setup. Powells setup is great no doubt but i want to be able to have camber adjustment at the front and camber bolts dont provide enough. Or i might retrofit a ground control top hat to work with the konis
Well I receive them in the mail today, will be taking pics later on tonight. It's true I was also thinking about the Koni setup with pedders which I had when I owned my 2.4 I want to try something different, should I also look into getting a rear sway?
Powell springs are better then pedders....pedders were the best until something better came out..... if you don't do a lot of tracking a hardcore 1.25" bar would be a good addition.

I'll be sure to use my canon camera when I start the install
