found some new stuff

I was browsing through some random performance parts catalog the other night and I happened to notice some springs for Cobalts that i've never heard mentioned on the forum before, and those would be Gold Line springs. Gold Line's been around for a while, and I knew they made springs for many sport compact applications, but I was unaware that they made them for the 'balt. I have no intentions of buying them or anything, as I already have Sportlines on mine, but I was just putting this out there for whoever wants to read it.

Also, RSM Racing, now Z-spec, makes springs for 'balts too. And once again, never heard of anyone using these either.

Are you looking for increased handling, or just a low look of the car? I'd suggest calling the manufacturer to find out how their spring rates compare to the Sportlines if you want to increase your handling in the car. Also, you may want to consider a better dampener (strut)

From what I know about Goldine, the makers of their springs were engineers that originally worked for Eibach and then started their own line. The springs are very similar to the Sportlines and usually about half the price. I've known a few people who have owned them and I've yet to hear a complaint.

Yes, I did read your post, hence my suggestion of comparing spring rates between your current Sportlines, and the ones you are looking at. Also the reason I asked what you were looking for in the car... to COMPARE your current sportlines to these other springs.
