Front strut help!

I ordered a pair of ss/tc front struts online, and they came loaded with ss/tc springs. I can't get the springs out of the struts, because that stupid bolt on top... I tried loading the strut into a vice so it wouldnt move, and i still couldnt get the bolt to budge an inch.

The only what I can thing of doing it, is putting the strut on the car, bolting it in, losening the top bolt while its in, take out the strut, put the spring in, and then put the strut back in. Seems like a lot of work...

Also, if I had sport lines in the back and ss/tc springs in the front how bad would that look? Because If I can avoid taking those springs out that would be amazing.

if you arent compressing the spring that would be why and then yes lnf in front and sportlines in back would look like ass.

but heres a thing that might help you. but you need spring compressors.

It is because youre spinning the bolt and the shaft, there is a torx head on the shaft for a reason.

Yup, impact is the way it is.

I did a full sportline install without using a spring compressor, wasn't too bad.

Yes but sometimes an Impact will just sit there and spin that rod too, that is what took me so long to do mine.

It's easy, just gotta be a little careful. Only bitch part for me was compressing the front spring enough to get the nut back on. I need to gain like 30lbs to make it easier
