Generally when you stiffen the front suspension you will cause an increase in under-steer. Same principal for the rear, stiffen the rear and you will introduce more over-steer. The trick is to feel what the car is doing and make the adjustments accordingly. Front wheel drive cars have under-steer inherent in there design and typically production cars have under-steer designed into them as a pseudo safety feature. Thats why typically you will see people installing the rear add-on sway bars as apposed to full kits. The rear bar stiffens the rear suspension there by adding over-steer and changing the handling characteristics of the car. The Eibach kit listed on that website states it has a 27mm front bar and a 25mm rear bar. Personally I think that combo would work because the rear bar would add to what the factory trailing arm has welded into it already. The only problem I can think is if the front 27mm bar is hollow. That would make it a bad choice in my opinion.

someone contact alleycat. She has had a PROFESSIONAL AUTO CROSSER tell her straight up. The cobalts could afford a larger diameter front sway and it will only help with handling. many AutoX'ers unhook their front sway during competition, but this guy suggested the absolute opposite. A front sway bar upgrade is a good thing for this car

Those autoXers are morons. They are the same people that buy a wood volume knob for "warmer" sound.

The whole point of a sway bar is to reduce camber changes due to body roll and keep more of the tire surface in contact with the road.
