Going Lower...Binding Issues?

I asked this question over on the HHR forums with no help...figured since the HHR and Cobalt share a lot of the same suspension components I'd ask here as well. So I'm already lowered on Canuck Motorsports but I'm just not happy and I want to go lower. I'm looking to drop it another inch or inch and half all the way around to get a slight tuck. I was going to go with a set of coilovers or bags but I don't want to dump $1k+ into the suspension right now since I'm not sure how much longer I plan to own the wagon. I'm just concerned with binding issues. I've read here that some of the guys have ran into some binding problems when going that low. I'm hoping the guys that are on coilovers and lend some help on this one for me. Here's what she looks like now on the Canucks...they are actually the Cobalt SS specifics with custom rears that give me an extra 1/2". I'm going to get Ray at Canuck Motorsports to custom fab me a set to give me the drop I'm looking for.

I'm sure others will chime in... but I think rotated trans mount might be a solution your problem if your car is a manual. There are a couple vendors here that make them. I personally run Powell's mounts.

Answered your own question, don't waste your money as it wont look much better/it looks good already.

Won't cost me but about $100 to do it as I already have these Canucks sold to local HHR SS owner. I'm just wanting to make sure I won't run into any axle binding problems.

I remember reading that as well. Would probably be your best bet.
