Greenstang Suspension Upgrade
Greenstang Suspension Upgrade
Hey guys,
I am needing to replace my shocks and possibly struts too? Shocks are first in order. So question: My car is am 06 ss/sc. Does it have the FE5 suspension I just want clarification on this as from what ive read on the forum it does. Also I had Koni STRT shocks on a mustang years ago and they were amazing! So I am looking to replace rear shocks first which prev owner put Monroe Shocks on it which are on it now. So my question is should i go with the non adjustable Koni or adjustable? The car has Eibach Sportlines and is just used for daily driving and I race around the back roads lol. Also a link to purchase for a good price from one of our vendors possibly? Thanks!

You do have fe5, but lsj suspension differs from lnf. You can stay at low cost and upgrade to an fe5 set off of an lnf. The only spring/strut setup better than that is konis and yyzs. Go with the adjustable if you get the konis. Obviously you would also need a housing for the konis if you went that route.
The FE5 struts off of the TC Cobalts are pretty damn good imo and I think they have better valving than the FE5 struts from SC Cobalt so like double_clutch said just the stock FE5 shocks/struts from a TC Cobalt would be a decent upgrade. Personally I wouldn't worry about getting better shocks/struts than that unless you are upgrading the springs as well. It's probably a little more expensive than you are looking for but Crate Engine Dept. sells FE5/YYZ plug and play units with the springs already wrapped on the bottom to prevent noise form the binding lower coils. Easy install and would definitely transform your ride from where it is now.
