4KG is about the rate stock for TC..a tad less actually.
They should be stiffer than your current fronts..which are?

4 (kg / mm) = 223.989658 pounds / in
5 (kg / mm) = 279.987073 pounds / in
6 (kg / mm) = 335.984488 pounds / in
7 (kg / mm) = 391.981902 pounds / in
8 (kg / mm) = 447.979317 pounds / in

EDITED:
Found the rates for your set up. Rears should be at least the same as fronts. I see a lot of people go with 6KG/6KG in other set ups here.

KSPORTS
Chevrolet Cobalt - 2005 - 2010 - CCV040-KP 1600 (F)7.5KG/420LB (R)4KG/224LB

Get a sway bar! It'll be a huge change in the way the car handles (particilarly roll) without making the suspension so hard you can't stand it.

this dude DOES NOT need a rear sway bar...you wanna explain to me how the hell a sway bars going to help him stiffen strut and spring compression lol!!!!!!!!!!

dom your best bet is different spring rates, footballs(literally a football in the rear springs, or drag bags.

I love people who don't read threads. How is a sway bar supposed to make the rear stiffer in the same way a set of springs would? I agree with above, footballs would probably be a good cheap solution without buying a set of springs.

not neccisarily. drag bags would do that more because they usually repalce the entire spring. footballs you can pump air in and out just like a drag bag. personally dude you just need to pony up the cash and get springs because those 4k springs are bs.
