Any of you guys that are on coils, do you stay low during snow? (couldn't rephrase that any other way without rhyming)

I just put a brand new lip on yesterday, and this question came to mind and was thinking about maybe raising when I went to go get new tires.
I'm currently as low as I could be without rubbing on 225/40 on my Megan coils.

Obviously, nobody really knows how bad the snow will be this year, but for those that get it, do you guys stay as low as you would be during the summer, raise it a bit, or 4x4?

im on h&r springs, been on them for 5 years. No issues ever in new england winters daily driven.

 

I have no intention of putting on stocks springs. It'd be less work to raise the coils anyhow.

Front without lip. Just put a new lip on yesterday.

My dad says I barely clear my driveway, but the entrance to it is indeed a little bit of an incline. Definitely don't make it up some of my friends' driveways (tried and scraped).

Keep in mind I live in Michigan and the winters here can be pretty harsh. My street doesn't get plowed for some reason, and I'd say on really bad days it could be as high as 5 or 6 inches.

 

my car is driven all winter long, however we get limited snow (rains 3/4 of the year though) and most of the time the car will stay parked when it snows (i usually can get a ride to work those days). car is on h&r race springs, its a snow plow, but i still get around on a good set of winters.

had one day where it was clear in the morning and then we got a dump of more than a foot in a couple hours. took forever to get home from work, but i was going up hills 4x4s couldnt.

Sounds like I'll be fine then.
Just thinking about the tires part. I'd like to run two sets, but I'll most likely end up going with all seasons.
I guess I'll find out, haha.

 

i used to think all seasons were fine in the snow, ran all seasons in winter on my old cavalier. they worked ok, but that was before i had the cobalt with snowies. snow tires do make a huge difference, i dont think the car would be anywhere near as capable in the snow with all seasons.

really, all seasons are now a compromise tire. they are ok in the summer and ok in the nsow and ice. however summer tires give a lot more grip and far better handling when dry, work as well as all seasons in the rain. winter tires work great in the rain, sleet, snow and ice.
