I recently bought a 2008 Cobalt Lt Coupe 5-speed. I come from the dreded volkswagen scene. So naturally i want to modify my cobalt. I want to lower it, exhaust, and various other things. I need to know what my options are. Im not spending 1k on coils, ill leave it stock before i spend that on my daily. Also, i have manual windows and locks, easiest way and cheapest way to swap to power.

 

I'm assuming since you say you're from the VW scene you don't care about ride. Try to find some Tein of CM lower springs you'll get the drop but not slammed drop. Keep the exhaust stock or try to find a stock exhaust from the 05-07 SS with the supercharger.

For the swap to power find a donor car in a junkyard, pretty sure the power connections are there. I know there are a few people who have made the swap on here

 

I almost wish i had roller windows. Power windows are SO SLOW

 

You didnt get a good LSJ? Friend of mine's wife had an LSJ and the passenger window went up as quick as the drivers side and they were both quicker than my LNF and base

 

I drove mk1 and mk2 vws since i was 16 ('74-92)im used to shitty rides haha. i only want like a 2" at most. And i dont want to break the bank. I was told "thule turbo" mufflers have a decent sound for cheap. But again, im new to the cobalt scene. And again, its my daily. Any insight is taken kindly.

 

Theres a $150 cat back on ebay.

No racelands for cobalts, youll have to use springs.
