Thank you.
Go take your car out and drive it already. It is ok if it gets a little dirty.

lol, no way man!! She is spotless, and I mean spotless.

Don't worry, I'll take her out when I drive over my buddies house to lift on Sunday.

I will report on ride, handling and overall feel.

Looks great Staged, as well as your whole car. Hands down have one of the nicest, most tastefully modded cars on the site.

You should post more pictures of it. Feel like I don't ever see pictures of it

Cant wait to hear the results on handling, ride quality, ect

Ok guys, back on topic....

Over the weekend I took the car out for a little cruise (yesterday actually).

My first impressions....

1. You can tell right away that the suspension is stiffer. The steering felt tighter, and everything felt more balanced.

2. They actually ride like SS/TC springs on perfectly paved to moderately rough roads. With the exception that everything feels tighter. Not a bad thing at all.

3. I went over a few dips and rough patches to see if they would slam like my cm springs did.... They did not!! Woo hoo.

4. They were never harsh or bumpy. Almost forgot I was lowered, which can be dangerous if you take an incline at the wrong angle, lol.

I didnt get to really take it around any twisty roads yet, but just from some brisk acceleration runs, I can tell they are on par with SS/TC springs, and my current suspension setup.

The only negative thing I have to say about them is I noticed some coil slap in the rear when going over some real rough roads. I read up on this, and I'm going to install Tein silencer rubbers on the coils ($5-$6/ pak) to quiet them down.

Overall, I'm very happy with them, and I like that they still provide a slightly raked look (2" finger gap front, 2.5" finger gap rear).

That is the only real issue with most dual rate coils. When making lowering springs they have to keep the free length of the spring the same as stock to avoid the coils falling out in the rear at full shock droop. To do this they use a very light first rate coil for the first 4-6 wraps normally. The spring rate of this area is normally 1/4-1/3 of the stiffer rate so if stiff rate is 300lbs/in the first rate is around 74-100lbs/in.

It is good that the ride quality is to your liking.

Good info, and thanks.

I'll report back after I install the rubber silencers.

Hopefully those do not raise the rear up any. I know they go between the coils but I am unsure how their thickness will effect ride height.

They are very thin, and mention that they do not affect ride height or handling.

I will note any changes if any.

Ordered tein silence rubber on my lunch break.

I'll shoot some photos of it installed, and report if it reduces/eliminates the coil slap.

Glad they ride better.

I took my SS off road a few times with two kayaks on the roof and the Eibach pro kit. No complaints

Have you thought about upgrading to the XXX bar? Just wondering since you have powergrid links.

Edit: I used to have a hardcore bar way back, desperately need a rear sway bar and contemplating on getting the XXX and never looking back. Also wondering if the powergrids would be a one time upgrade as well.

I have yyz, koni inserts, koni shocks, powell cabs......so I figure why not.

Nah, the hardcore bar is more than enough for what I use my car for.

Added manufacturing specs to my first post since we wont be posting links in here.

Check em out when u get a chance.

I installed the Tein silencer rubbers part# SPR02-H2186 (60mm-90mm) this afternoon. I added two per side on the dead coils.

I will test the springs out again once the roads clear up and let u guys know if the silencers reduced the coil slap.

I run an XXX bar. I've never had any of the other two (street bar and hardcore bar), but I haven't noticed any downsides to having the thickest bar on the car, no oversteer and all it seems to do is neutralize understeer. What's going to be interesting is to see whether or not it will be sketchy in the snow when it eventually comes. I currently run:

H&R Sport Springs
Moog Endlinks
Powell XXX Rear Bar

Interesting post about the springs Staged. I was looking into these myself after reading nothing but good things about them, but eventually went with the H&Rs to replace my CM springs. You're totally right about the packaging of the CM springs, that really threw me off about them, and made me pleasantly surprised to open up my H&R springs when they came, which were packaged much more nicely. I was never really disappointed in how the CM springs performed, but they did feel as though they were a touch softer. Will continue tuning in to hear about any further impressions.

my canucks rode pretty much like stock =\

also can we get a pic of the rear springs with the cars weight on them, but theres some sweet dead coil action.

I had CM springs as well. They ride like stock springs on perfectly paved roads.

That's about it.. Slightest bump or dip and their super soft spring rates are felt.

The road magnets are vast improvement over them. I love them.

Yep, I took some pics. I'll post them up later.
