Just Lowered my Cobalt....

Just lowered my cobalt today, 2 in front, 2.25 rear, now my whole car is shaking, and even worse when i hit the brakes, wth? everything is tight, it hugs the road, just shaking, just got new tires, replaced both control arms in the front, new brakes all around, need an alignment. Could that be it?

Just shaking? Or clunking noises too? Probably didn't tightening something properly or need an alignment. Be more specific like........shakes above 60mph, clunking noise when hitting brakes, etc.......did you drive with these new tires before lowering your car? If no then they probably need to be properly balanced. I hope your lug nuts were torqued.

OK, 2006 cobalt ss not supercharged (waste i know!) Lowered with Lotek lowering springs, shakes at about 20 mph, and about 45 mph, then its fine. No clunking noises, no funny noises just shaking, tires have been on the car for about a month so i have been driving it before we lowered it yesterday. i now know i need to replace my struts, yay. I DO need an alignment im hoping it will knock that shake out, and im going to get the tires rotated also the tread it wearing from the outside in.

First things first.....get an alignment. Its hard to help diagnos problems when things that should be done(like alignments) could cause the symptoms
