keep ark coliovers or get lnf suspension?

well like the title says i have a set of arks dp coilovers sitting at my house. i havent even opened the box yet. but i am thinking maybe i should sell them and just get the lnf shocks/struts and springs. i heard that that set-up is a little lower then the stock sc stuff. is that true?

the reason i am asking this is because i will be stationed in germany in a little bit. i will probably start getting into auto x instead of drag racing like i am now. plus the "ring" is out there!!!!

i probably wont be changing the arks very much if at all once i get them set. and plus lnf stuff is a lot cheaper.

so what would you guys do?

What are your over thoughts of the Koni setup vs stock?
What springs are you on?
Do you wish you would have went with something else?

i have ss/tc struts/shocks and ssc springs right now and the car handles like a beast, but i also have alot of suspension mods. but if i were u i'd sell the ark coilovers and pick up a set of Pedder Coilovers they are the BEST coilovers out for the cobalt.

No they arent....they are nice to be sure, but far from "the BEST"

I vote LNF struts and shocks and Pedders springs.

They are nice, I like Pedders stuff a great deal, but Ive seen the Cobalt coilovers, and they arent like uber-amazing. I would rather have them than Megans/KW/BC/Ksports, but then again, they are the same price as the competition, so its unreasonable to think they would be significantly better than other options.

Why? Just asking you gotta cobalt so its realtively easy compared to an Ion toput on Ground Control camber plates. But its not needed how much camber do you need you can get it at the bottom of the strut?

You can probably get close to 5 degrees from the knuckle mount with very little effort.

Handles nice, im on Sportlines right now but the adjust ability is very nice since I can choose my ride quality. Im happy with them right now just wish they made an entire strut instead of an "insert", but I was going to go with the LNF Suspension but got a good deal on these so for the money at regular price...I say LNF

Ok, this question is going to come across noobish, because it is, but would the LNF strut/shock package work in place of Koni yellows on an '07 LT to lower it on Sportlines? AFAIK the LNFs will fit but I'm no expert on this stuff, it's just what I'd read elsewhere. I didn't know if the suspension package in the SS/TC included anything more that would allow the Sportlines to work with it on it's stock struts/springs.

If I'm completely off-base I apologize, I think I'm headed in the right direction but any help would be appreciated. And I figured since the topic came up in this thread I'd just ask instead of creating a new thread for a likely simple answer. Sorry for all the disclaimers, I just feel like I'm staring at the answer but not seeing it lol.

Peace

+1

but at least put on the man springs!

also people. if you want the "best" coilovers, then its time to talk to Powell gang and get your self the ohilns set up.

it should be just about ~50% of the cost of your car, require common rebuilds and a person who knows what the **** there doing. but it will be the best.

I may put them on the other car, you seem happy with 'em......We'll talk later.

Yeah.....you cant really discuss $8,000 damper solutions on $20,000 daily driven cars. **** even Motons will run you north of $3,000 Every body seems to like to say stuff is the best.....without adding the very important "in my budget" clause. Pedders, just like every other coilover mass marketed for the Balt still have linked damping which is why they arent on my car....among other reasons.

i hope, and wonder, if the unit to unit damper forces will be consistent.

something koni cant say.

i cant jump on the pedders band wagon yet, i've worked with them on the OE side. but not aftermarket. once i get a set in hand and get them on the dyno, I'll give my vote.

as for the T3's with a re-done rear mono, they would be perfect!
